Vintage Floral Velvet Gaucho Pants + Upcycled Embroidered Vest

A one-of-a-kind pairing of vintage floral velvet gaucho pants and an upcycled embroidered vest, bringing together rich texture, vintage needlework, and handmade repair.

The vintage velvet gaucho pants feature a beautiful dense floral pattern in deep burgundy, plum, brown, purple, and berry tones. Their relaxed, flowing shape lets the vintage fabric take center stage while creating an easy statement piece with plenty of personality.

The upcycled embroidered vest is made from several vintage embroidered textiles and finished with delicate floral embroidery, lace details, and hand-applied fabric patches. Rather than hiding the history of the original textile, I chose to make the repairs part of the design.

Several areas of the vest have been hand-repaired with visible patchwork and blanket stitching, giving the piece a beautifully imperfect, deliberately handmade character.

The beauty of this set is in the details that show where it came from. Vintage fabric, embroidery, lace, wear, and hand stitching all remain part of the story rather than being erased.
